Andy Whitehead was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire. He originally trained in the engineering sector. After a brief move to the Algarve he returned to the UK and joined the Fire Service. Towards the end of his 26 year career he started to utilise his active imagination to fuel his writing. Since then Andy has written a number of successful books based in and around World War 1 and other historical settings. His unique brand of reality based fiction has had publishers and fans a like clamouring for his next book.
